Robert Gallon 1845-1925 (artist)

The image shown is of a old greetings card, i may be braking copyright but I have shown the context ie the name of the greeting card publisher.
A pleasant enough scene showing a barge on what looks like a river. . there are cows on the river bank and cottages in the distance. the use of the barge with steam showes the progress of industry in a otherwisee idlyic countryl scene.
the artist usally painted on the spot this accounts for the sense of place.
The original card did not have any details about the artist,
Looking at the painting ,a romantic would note the lack of a horse towing the barge.
